Service Description
Crux provides a digital organisation platform allowing users to store personal information securely and assign conditional access to trusted contacts.
Crux operates solely as a technology platform and does not provide legal, financial, estate planning, or fiduciary services.
User Responsibilities
Users are responsible for:
- maintaining accurate information
- safeguarding login credentials
- assigning trusted contacts responsibly
- ensuring uploaded content complies with applicable laws
Users retain ownership of their uploaded content.
Prohibited Use
Users may not:
- upload illegal material
- store pornography or abusive content
- upload stolen data
- distribute malware
- attempt to hack the platform
- impersonate others
- misuse the service for unlawful activity
5. Trusted Contacts
Users may designate trusted contacts and assign information access permissions.
Trusted contacts may submit notifications relating to trigger events.
Crux does not verify the authenticity of documents submitted by users or third parties.
6. Trigger Events
Information release may occur when trigger events occur such as:
- death notifications submitted by trusted contacts
- travel mode expiry
- other user-defined conditions
7. Subscription and Payments
Paid plans may be offered through subscription billing processed by Stripe.
Users may cancel subscriptions according to applicable policies. Refunds may be provided within 14 days of purchase.
8. Account Termination
Users may delete accounts at any time.
Crux may suspend or terminate accounts for violation of these Terms.
9. Platform Availability
Crux strives to maintain reliable services but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
Services may be modified or discontinued with reasonable notice where possible.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Crux shall not be liable for:
- loss of data
- incorrect user-provided information
- actions of trusted contacts
- document authenticity issues
- financial losses arising from platform usage
Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the user in the previous 12 months.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
